Material Handling Experience – Industrial Handling Solutions
Tom Currier has over 20 years of experience in the material handling industry. He has most recently used his experience and expertise to establish Industrial Handling Solutions in order to give clients the best and most creative solutions to their material handling needs, and to maximize the efficiency of their supply chain.
Tom’s career started in Charlotte, NC as a member of the Management Training Group at LiftOne, a division of Carolina Tractor. Tom excelled as Territory Sales Manager in the capital equipment sales group and the engineered systems group. His last eight years were spent as Major Accounts Manager in the engineered systems group helping the area’s largest manufacturers move and store their products more efficiently. He was recognized multiple times for exceeding expected sales goals.
In addition to his responsibilities at Industrial Handling Solutions, Tom is a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church where he has served on the Vestry as Jr. Warden, Mission Board and volunteers regularly for Room in the Inn. For fun, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters at the beach, participating in Charlotte Y Guides, coaching HS girls soccer, anything outdoors, and attending Wolfpack and Panthers events.
Tom received his B.S. degree in Agriculture Business Management from North Carolina State University.
Business Development Manager
John brings over 20 years of commercial and retail experience to Industrial Handling Solutions. His focus is on providing a solutions based experience for customers, by making sure to listen to the needs of the user, implementing a plan to solve the issues at hand and verifying they work for the long term goals of the customer.
With a background in sales, product management, marketing and purchasing, he brings a wide background to Industrial Handling Solutions. This allows him the ability to see projects from different aspects and help to find the right solution. He successfully relaunched the commercial and industrial sales division of Toter, where the business attained double digit growth for multiple years. The growth was a result of direct relationships with some of the nation’s largest retailers as well as relationships with Rep Agencies across the Nation where John traveled and trained Reps and Distributor Sales groups.
In addition to Industrial Handling Solutions, John is a member of St Martin’s Episcopal Church where he is active in several outreach and fundraising groups. He likes to spend time with his wife and 2 kids, attending Y-Guides and Martial Arts events, as well as traveling to the Caribbean. He also enjoys working in the yard, wrenching on old cars, and using his BBQ smoker on the weekends.
John received a B.S. in Business Management – Marketing and a Minor in Horticulture from North Carolina State University.
